Thea Limon is a photographer in Big Bear Lake, California.
My name is Thea Limon. It’s nice to virtually meet you! I’m a local photographer in Big Bear Lake, California. It’s time to introduce myself and let you get to know exactly who your photographer is. I’m a 29-year-old who grew up in Big Bear and has fallen in love with this town. Becoming a photographer in Big Bear Lake was an easy choice to make because of how much I love to see my clients smile. There is something about creating joy and taking a snapshot of life that captivated me and made me want to pursue this career.
My BIG Why
There is a magic that comes with capturing a moment of true love, happiness, or life. I’m a passionate person when it comes to spreading joy, and to me a frozen moment in time can show and remind people how they feel about one another.
Photography helps me to express what is going on in our world today. I’m able to share a special moment with others through a preserved moment in time. That’s why I write and take photos, to save a smile and occasion that will last a lifetime.

I have a bachelors in Journalism
Writing has been a part of my life since I was a child. Growing up, news and politics were thrills for me to research and dive into. I got my BA degree in Journalism, which also turned into a career in photojournalism.
When I’m not having a photography session, I’m writing and researching. You can read my articles in the Big Bear Grizzly, Big Bear Now Magazine, and hear my news on local radio three times a day.

I married the man of my dreams.
I’ve been happily married for five years to Jeff Limon. We met online on a website where people meet and write stories together from all over the world.
Funnily enough, he grew up in Big Bear too and we had mutual friends but never met until then! Jeff is a local Realtor in Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead, CA. He’s on the top team in Big Bear and it makes me incredibly proud how much he cares for his clients.
You’ll find me helping out at his open houses whenever I can!
What does a Big Bear Lake photographer do when not behind a camera?
Have her face behind a book, of course.
When I’m not with my camera or writing, you can find me reading with a steaming cup of tea! I’m in a weekly book club, that meets over Zoom. It’s one of my favorite days of the week!
Add in a cozy crackling fire and I’m in Heaven.
Everyone has a guilty pleasure, even me!
You guessed it, reality TV.
My guilty pleasures are reality TV shows! I know, I know. Don’t judge me but there is nothing better that gets me through having to be on the treadmill than some good reality tv.
Teen Mom? Keeping Up With The Kardashians? You bet I’m watching them!

Disneyland is my favorite place on earth. There is magic when you walk through those gates and thankfully, my husband agrees.
You’ll find me in Fantasyland with Mickey Mouse ears on as much as possible.
